Headed to Nashville

Tomorrow, Corey and I are flying out to Nashville to meet our friends Lindsay and Ben for Ben’s birthday.  I am taking Friday off and am beside myself with excitement for three days of exploring a new city with friends.  Neither Corey nor I have ever been and I don’t think we have any big events planned so I was wondering if you guys have any input on fun things to do or places to go?  You know how I like to take a pretty picture so if there are any locations that are particularly scenic, I would love to know.

OH OH OH! So jealous. I absolutely LOVE Nashville. When I went, we spent most of our time on Broadway. Even if you’re not a country music fan you will fall in love with the music while you are there. Everyone singing in the bars sounds like they should already have a recording contract. And the people are so nice! Anyway… Lauren would be a good person to ask for specifics since she lived there for a bit. Have so much fun!!!

It’s been a few years since we lived in the Nashville area, but you must try some hot chicken! Prince’s Hot Chicken is a local favorite, but I have to warn you, it’s a bit of a dive, and at least the last time I was there, they only accepted cash. But let me tell you, people line up outside the store before it is open for the chicken! If you can’t make it to Prince’s (it’s not in the downtown area) there is also Hattie B’s. Either way, you must have hot chicken!

Can’t wait to have you here in Nashville.

    You will love it!
To dos: Broadway at night, Country Music Hall of fame & Ryman. Cheekwood Botanical is having a great exhibit right now at night.
Places you must eat at: Husk {we have our own now} , Rolf & Daughters, Cityhouse {Gwinny approved} & Prince’s
