Guest Bedroom Mockup

So I was going to take a picture of the black paint in the bedroom.  I really was.  But I was a little preoccupied by another project that will either be awesome or fail miserably.  Only time will tell.  Instead of showing you the black paint and scattered chaos of furniture that is the current state of the bedroom, how about a nice mockup instead?  Bedding has already been ordered and I purchased some nightstands from Habitat for Humanity (not the ones in the picture) and the Ikea lamps forever ago, so all I need is art and curtains.  I’m pretty excited about it.  What are thoughts on spray painting the lamps gold?

    I love it. Yes to the gold spray paint on the lamps. By the way, is that West Elm bedding? I’m pretty sure that is the bedding I have in my guest room!

    I sprayed my lamps gold and they started to rub off where I touched them. But, I spray painted them 5 years ago and probably should have put a protectant over them and am possibly guessing the gold in spraycans is better then it used to be…LOL..Did I even answer or just whine?

    Wait to see how you pull the room together, then decide if you want to pain them gold. The gold troll that lives in my brain say’s GOLD GOLD GOLD!

    Love the idea of black walls, cannot wait to see.

      Oh man Katrina I’m glad you told me this. I’m thinking it is leaning strongly towards gold so I will have to have some kind of protective coating situation if I do that. I’ll be sure to mention it whenever I finally post the room. Thanks for the heads up!
