Although we generally eat dinner on the couch while watching TV, for special occasions we find that food tastes much better in a beauty setting. Â This weekend we put together a Thanksgiving Tablescape that we hope makes our turkey taste even more delicious.
We chose a purple and gold color scheme because it seemed more fun than the typical orange. Â Things that we had laying around include the mercury glass pumpkins (from Pottery Barn), candlesticks (from a store called mom’s house), and plates and glassware (from West Elm and Crate and Barrel). Â We bought the gold leaves from the Christmas section of Target and Meg bought some fabric remnants for the runner and the napkins. Â Things we crafted include the bunting, sparkle pumpkins, and place cards. Â Let us know if you guys want a DIY on any of them!
Now all we need is some delicious food and our favorite people and we are ready to go! Â And probably sweatpants for after I consume an entire apple pie.
Gobble Gobble! Colleen
I see the need for a storage shed in your future. Where did you get those silver pumpkins?
Hey Kel! Haha I know we have a ridiculous amount of stuff. You should see my guest room filled to the brim with wedding decorations. I got the pumpkins at Pottery Barn last year for Halloween. I think they still have them.
