At the end of April, one of my very best friends had a first birthday party for her daughter.  Although I went over to help her set up (having a party like that is hard work, ya’ll!), Lauren planned and put most all the details together herself and I thought that it turned out so fantastically, I should share it today in case anyone else is looking for some first birthday party ideas.  The theme she went with was “Cute As A Button” and if Harper isn’t the cutest little Button in the whole wide world, then I just don’t know who is.  Although I may be biased since I am her “auntie.”  I apologize for all the weird picture sizes.  I took them from a shared Shutterfly page and when I saved the image, it made me save the white sides of the image as well.  Weird.

The “smash cake” and unbelievably delicious cupcakes were done by our friend Nicola from Cup A Dewdle Dew.  If you live in the Charlotte area and need some cupcakes for an event, you simply HAVE to enlist her help.  Her cupcakes are seriously some of the best I’ve ever had along with her being a true artist.  It is insane what she can do with some fondant.

Bubble favors for the kiddos with little buttons glued on top.  Die of cuteness.

Lauren made all these little dresses and glued buttons to tiny closepins for the garland of Harper’s pictures.  Pretty amazing.

Harper’s big sister Izzy had her a button outfit too.  Obviously.
