We are completely and utterly infatuated with calligraphy. Â Although Colleen couldn’t justify the extra cost for her wedding, we truly feel that it adds something quite special to the invitations or to the wedding itself, depending on how you use it. Â We feel like it is almost the equivalent of a work of art, with each item being unique. Â One of my life’s goals is to learn calligraphy and develop my own style. Â Maybe one day. Â We found these images that made us weak in the knees and wanted to share them with you.

Crushing on Calligraphy

I have to confess I have a small addiction to fonts and calligraphy items. I think they are so beautiful and reflect the personality of the person it came from. A friend of mine that just got married wrote her wedding invitations in her own modern style calligraphy and had stamps made and then used those. So sweet and personal. If I get married I may have to steal that idea 🙂
It really is a work of art…. especially when done by hand. Megs if your ever up for it, I’d take a “handwriting” class with you… they’ll teach out calligraphy. There’s something so beautiful about handwritten script. I took one class in college and have been able carry some of that with me. Beautiful post!
beauties! I love that monogram stamp!
I like the old fashion one. I have a 1890 phantom party invitation the my great-grandfather wrote. It’s great.
