As I’ve already told you at least 10 times, we threw my friend Lindsay a Cape Cod themed bridal shower this past Saturday.  It was every bit as lovely, fun, and intimate as I had hoped.  Megan and I took care of the decor, using streamers, blue tinted mason jars filled with twinkle lights, kraft paper and vellum paper to make the house a little more nautical.  Megan painted that oceanscape background and made her world famous macarons while I photoshopped some place cards and tea towel favors, which we will be sharing DIYs for soon.  Obviously, there were also cupcakes.  Shannon and Sarah, the other two hostesses, outdid themselves with the food, making lobster rolls, crab cakes, and many other delicious Cape Cod inspired items.  Beverages were served in the form of rock candy champagne cocktails and blue lemonade.  To anyone that came here from Pinterest and is curious about where we got such blue lemonade, all we did was take some bottles of sparkling lemonade (Trader Joes I believe) and add a drop of blue food coloring to each.  You just move the liquid around a bit to help it spread.
All the hostesses and the gorgeous bride looking very bridal.
Wow, you guys!! I’m a little speechless over this one. Fabulous job. The food looks amazing, the cuppy cakes, of course the macaroons, and Meg that background is so neat! All the little details and place cards. You guys… that is fab. Who thought of the rock candy champagne?? I want one! Now… at 8:07am.
